Privacy Policy | Highstone Dance Acad

Highstone Dance Academy ("we", "us") runs dance and singing classes at Hadley Memorial Hall, 29 Hadley Highstone, Barnet EN5 4PU & Church House, Wood Street, Barnet, EN5 4BW. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect:

- Enquiries and trial bookings: your name, phone number, email address, your child's first name and age, and which class you're interested in. This comes from our website contact form, our booking system (Class Manager), or enquiry forms on Facebook and Instagram.

- Enrolled families: the details above plus your address, emergency contact, and any medical or access needs you choose to tell us about so we can look after your child safely.

- Photos and videos: only with your consent, which you give (or not) when you enrol. You can change it at any time by updating it on the parent portal.

Why we collect it:

- To reply to your enquiry and book a trial class.

- To run classes safely and keep you informed about term dates, fees, shows, exams and events.

- To send news about the school. You can opt out of this at any time and it won't affect your child's place.

Who we share it with:

We don't sell your information and we don't share it with other businesses for their marketing. We use a small number of services to run the school - our booking and payments system (Class Manager) our email provider and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) if you contacted us through an enquiry form there. Each of these only processes your details on our behalf.

How long we keep it:

All initial enquiries are added to our mailing list which you can unsubscribe from at anytime. Enrolled families' records are kept while your child attends and for up to 6 years afterwards for accounting and insurance purposes, then deleted.

Your rights:

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email info@highstonedanceacademy.com or call 01707 658615 and we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
