Samantha Ewen

Director & Principal - LISTD, ARBTA Examiner, RAD PTS & Mentor

Sam trained at The Arts Educational School in London, graduating with a professional dance diploma and ISTD teaching qualifications in Imperial Ballet, Tap & Modern. She is a Ballet, Tap & Jazz Examiner for ARBTA and a Mentor & Practical Teaching Supervisor for the RAD. Sam has been Principal of Highstone Dance Academy since 1998.

Sian Dempsey

Vice Principal - ISTD, DDI, DDE

Sian started her dance training at Highstone. At the age of 18 she continued her full-time training at North London Dance Studios where she gained her ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern & Tap.

Jessica Baker

AcroDance Teacher 

Jess began her dance training at Highstone, she then went on to study at the Arts Depot, graduating with a Diploma in Performing Arts. Jess has studied teacher a training course with Acrotrix  to teach AcroDance & Acrobatics. She is very excited to be teaching at Highstone where it all started and is proud to be part of the team.

Francesca Webb

ISTD, DDI, DDE

Francesca trained at The North London Dance Studios where she gained a diploma in performing arts as well as her teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre Dance. Francesca has been a valued member of the team since 2006.

Meg Gallagher

Head of Musical Theatre -

Theatre Dance Performance BA Hons, Extended Level 6  Teaching Diploma

Meg began her dance training at Highstone before going to London Studio Centre (Theatre Dance Performance BA Hons + Extended Level 6 teaching diploma). Meg has worked extensively in the music and entertainment industry and has taught children and adults singing, music, dance and drama in a range of educational settings.

Olivia Doheny

Liv began her dance training at Highstone. She then went into full time training at The Centre Performing Arts College, graduating with a diploma in Theatre Performance. Liv has gained experience teaching at other dance schools and is very excited to be furthering her teaching career at Highstone.

Aimee Rooney

Aimee trained at Highstone from the age of 2.5, becoming a teaching assistant from the age of 12. She went into full time dance training at the age of 18 and is in the final year of her BA (Hons) Professional Performance degree  at London Studio Centre/Middlesex University.
Aimee has worked as a professional dancer at Chessington World of Adventures, has a chaperone licence and DBS.

Sophie Sawtell

Sophie learnt to dance at Highstone where her passion for everything performance was established. She has since gone on to gain a degree in Theatre Arts and a post graduate certificate in Education; Drama. Sophie has been a qualified secondary teacher for the past 12 years and is delighted to return to Highstone to teach  Musical Theatre.
